What are ChatGPT Custom Connectors?
ChatGPT Custom Connectors use the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to connect ChatGPT to external services like Rembrandt, giving you access to your market intelligence data directly in your conversations with ChatGPT.
Prerequisites

A Rembrandt account with completed onboarding

ChatGPT Plus subscription (required for Custom GPTs)

Organization access in your Rembrandt account
Step-by-Step Setup
Step 1: Get Your Authorization URL

Log in to your Rembrandt account

Navigate to Settings → Integrations → MCP

Click Connect to ChatGPT
-
You'll be redirected to authorize the connection
Step 2: Authorize the Connection

You'll be redirected to the Rembrandt authorization page
-
If you're not logged in, you'll be prompted to sign in
-
Review the permissions being requested
-
Click Authorize to approve the connection
Note: If this is your first time connecting, you may need to complete your account setup first (email verification, organization selection, and profile completion).
Step 3: Configure ChatGPT Custom Connector
After authorization, you'll receive an authorization code. Configure ChatGPT:

Go to ChatGPT and click Settings → Connectors

Click Add Connector

Select Custom Connector (MCP)

Enter the following configuration:
Server URL:
https://api.rembrandtagents.com/mcp
Authorization:
Bearer YOUR_AUTHORIZATION_CODE

Click Save and Connect
Step 4: Verify the Connection

Start a new conversation in ChatGPT

Ask ChatGPT: "What buying signals do I have?"

If connected correctly, ChatGPT will be able to access your Rembrandt data
Using Rembrandt in ChatGPT
Once connected, you can ask ChatGPT questions like:

"Show me high-priority prospects"

"What buying signals do I have this week?"

"Find prospects in the buying stage"
-
"Get summaries for my top prospects"
-
"Show me competitor analysis"
ChatGPT will use your Rembrandt data to answer these questions directly.
Troubleshooting
Authorization Failed
If you see an "Authorization failed" message:

Make sure you're logged into your Rembrandt account

Verify that your account setup is complete (email verified, organization selected, profile completed)

Try disconnecting and reconnecting the integration
Can't Complete Setup
If you're stuck on a setup step:

Check that your email is verified

Ensure you've selected an organization
-
Complete your profile information

Contact support if you continue to have issues
Connection Not Working in ChatGPT
If ChatGPT can't access Rembrandt data:

Verify the MCP server URL is correct:

Check that your authorization code is valid (they expire after some time)

Restart ChatGPT after configuration changes

Disconnecting the Integration
To disconnect the ChatGPT integration:

Go to Settings → Integrations → MCP in your Rembrandt dashboard

Click Disconnect

Remove the Custom Connector from ChatGPT settings
