AI Assistants

Connect Rembrandt to Claude or ChatGPT and ask about your accounts, pains and contacts in the assistant you already use.

Today that connection runs over the Model Context Protocol (MCP), which is why the screens and settings below say MCP. It is read only, it is scoped to one organization, and there is no token to copy or paste.

Before you start

  • Your Rembrandt account setup is complete: email verified, profile filled in, and an organization selected.

  • For Claude: the Claude desktop app or claude.ai.

  • For ChatGPT: a plan that includes Custom Connectors.

Your organization also has to have the connector switched on. If an Owner or Admin has turned it off, authorization is refused.

Connect Claude

  1. Open Claude and go to Settings → Connectors.

  2. Click Add custom connector.

  3. Enter https://mcp.rembrandtagents.com and confirm.

  4. Click Connect. Claude opens the Rembrandt authorization page.

  5. Sign in if prompted. If you belong to more than one organization, select the one this connection should use.

  6. Review the permissions and click Authorize.

Claude stores and refreshes the access token itself. There is no config file to edit.

To check it works, start a new conversation and ask what buying signals you have.

Connect ChatGPT

  1. Go to Settings → Connectors in ChatGPT.

  2. Click Add Connector and choose Custom Connector (MCP).

  3. Enter https://mcp.rembrandtagents.com.

  4. Click Connect. ChatGPT redirects you to Rembrandt to authorize.

  5. Sign in if prompted, and select the organization this connection should use.

  6. Review the permissions and click Authorize.

ChatGPT handles the authorization and stores the token itself.

What you can ask

The assistant has read-only access to your accounts, the pains on them with their evidence and conviction score, your pain clusters, and the contacts Rembrandt holds per account.

Questions it answers well:

  • Which accounts in my patch should I work this week?

  • Give me a briefing on Acme. What pain are we seeing and what should I lead with?

  • What changed at Acme in the last 30 days?

  • Which pain clusters are heating up in the Netherlands?

  • Who should I contact at Acme for this pain, and why them?

  • Which closed-lost accounts should I revisit because something changed?

  • Which reps have the most in-play accounts with no recent activity?

The contacts it returns are the ones Rembrandt already holds, which come from your CRM sync, a CSV import, or a briefing. The assistant does not source new people.

Signal frameworks and signal domains are not exposed over MCP. For those, use the REST API.

Which organization the assistant sees

A connection is pinned to the organization you selected when you authorized it. Switching your active organization later in the Rembrandt web app does not change an existing connection.

To point the assistant at a different organization, remove the connector in the assistant, add it again, and authorize with the other organization selected.

Security and access

  • Access is read only. Nothing an assistant does can change your data.

  • The connection is scoped to one organization and stays pinned to it.

  • Your role is re-checked on every request. If your membership is removed, or the organization is suspended, the connection stops returning data immediately.

Managing connections

Owners and Admins manage this under Settings → Organization → MCP Connections:

  • See every active connection: which assistant, which user authorized it, when it was created and last used.

  • Revoke one connection, which invalidates it immediately.

  • Turn the connector off for the whole organization, which revokes existing connections and blocks new ones.

Removing the connector inside Claude or ChatGPT only removes it from that assistant. To be certain access is withdrawn on the Rembrandt side, revoke it here as well.

Troubleshooting

Problem

What to check

Authorization fails

Confirm you are signed in to Rembrandt and your account setup is complete, then run the flow again

The assistant cannot reach your data

Confirm the server URL is exactly https://mcp.rembrandtagents.com, then remove and re-add the connector to refresh the authorization

It worked before and stopped

Re-add the connector and authorize again. Check that your account and the authorized organization are still active, and that you still belong to that organization

Authorization is refused outright

The connector may be switched off for your organization. Ask an Owner or Admin to check Settings → Organization → MCP Connections

You see data from the wrong organization

The connection is pinned. Remove the connector, add it again, and select the right organization
