Execution Planning

Turn qualified opportunities into structured outreach campaigns with AI-powered execution plans.

What Is Execution Planning?

Execution Planning helps you go from a qualified opportunity to a multi-channel outreach campaign in five guided steps. Rembrandt's AI identifies the right stakeholders, enriches their contact details, generates personalized messaging, designs a timeline, and helps you execute — all grounded in the buying signals and evidence that made the opportunity relevant.

Each execution plan is tied to a single opportunity and uses your solution's Playbook (personas, templates, messaging preferences) to ensure consistency across your team.

Requirement: Execution plans can only be created for opportunities with a conviction score of 4 or higher.

Execution Planning may not be enabled for your organization. If you don't see the Execution tab on opportunities, contact your administrator.

The Five-Step Flow

Each step has a status indicator:

Status

Meaning

Pending

Waiting for the previous step to be completed

Generating

AI is actively working

Review

Ready for your review and edits

Approved

You approved the output; next step can begin

Failed

Something went wrong (you can retry)

Step 1: Buying Unit & Persona Identification

Rembrandt's AI analyzes the opportunity's evidence and your playbook to identify the key stakeholders at the target company.

What the AI does:

  • Identifies real people and maps them to your playbook persona roles (Problem Owner, Sponsor, Economic Buyer, Influencer)

  • Suggests names, titles, departments, and LinkedIn profiles

  • Explains why each persona was identified, grounded in the opportunity's evidence

What you can do:

  • Approve or skip each persona

  • Add personas manually if the AI missed someone

  • Edit persona details (name, title, department, LinkedIn, role)

  • Bulk approve or skip multiple personas at once

All approved personas must have a name set before you can move to the next step.

When it starts: Automatically when you click Start Plan.

Step 2: Contact Enrichment

Rembrandt enriches each approved persona with contact information by searching the web.

What you see:

  • Email address, phone number, and LinkedIn profile per persona

  • Organization email pattern and confidence level (e.g. "firstname.lastname@company.com — 85% confidence")

  • A channel availability overview showing which personas have enough contact info for each outreach channel

What you can do:

  • Edit contact details (email, phone, LinkedIn, name, title)

  • Add missing contact information manually

  • Skip or restore personas

When it starts: Automatically when you approve Step 1.

At least one active persona must remain to approve this step.

Step 3: Copy Generation

AI generates personalized outreach messages for each persona across your selected channels.

Before generating, you choose:

  • Channels — Which outreach channels to use (see Available Channels below)

  • Tone — A tone for each channel (see Available Tones below)

  • Template — Optionally select an outreach template from your playbook

  • Evidence — Which evidence to anchor the messaging in. You can set this globally or override per channel.

When it starts: When you select or change your channels. You can regenerate copy at any time by updating your channel selections.

What the AI produces:

  • Personalized messages per persona per channel

  • Subject lines (for email) and message body

  • Multi-touch sequences (e.g. email 1, 2, 3) with a sequence order

  • Evidence-anchored messaging tied to your opportunity's buying signals

What you can do:

  • Edit any message's subject and body

  • Approve individual messages or approve all at once

  • View version history — Every change is tracked: Initial AI generation AI rewrites via the Copilot Your manual edits Tone changes

  • Restore any previous version

  • Use the Copilot to refine specific messages with natural language instructions

Step 4: Timeline & Sequence Design

AI designs the outreach cadence — when to reach out to whom, across which channels, and in what order.

Configuration options:

  • Buffer days — Minimum days between touches (default: 2)

  • Persona order — Drag to reorder which stakeholders are contacted first

  • Click Generate Timeline to create the sequence

What the AI produces:

  • A scheduled day for each action (Day 1, Day 3, etc. — relative to your campaign start)

  • Order within each day

  • Descriptions for each touchpoint

  • Conditional steps (e.g. "if no reply to Day 1 email, send follow-up")

What you can do:

  • Reorder actions via drag-and-drop

  • Edit individual actions (description, scheduled day, conditions)

  • Approve the timeline to move to execution

Generating a new timeline replaces any existing one.

Step 5: Execute

Launch your campaign and track progress.

What you can do:

  • Set a campaign start date — Converts relative days into actual calendar dates

  • Copy to clipboard — Copy any message for use in your email client or outreach tool

  • Mark actions as done — Track which touches have been sent

  • View activity log — See what was copied or sent and when

You choose a tone per channel during Step 3.

Persona Roles

Execution plans use four persona roles from your playbook:

Role

Description

Problem Owner

The person experiencing the pain point your solution addresses

Sponsor

Internal champion who advocates for the solution

Economic Buyer

Decision maker with budget authority

Influencer

Stakeholder who can influence the buying decision

Plan Statuses

Playbook Integration

Execution plans are powered by your solution's Playbook, which provides:

  • Buying units — The roles and personas to target

  • Outreach templates — Reusable message frameworks per channel, selectable during Step 3

  • Messaging preferences — Tone, style, and positioning guidelines that shape AI-generated copy

Getting your playbook ready

Before creating your first plan, make sure your playbook has:

  • At least a few personas defined

  • Buying units configured

  • Outreach templates for your preferred channels

  • Messaging preferences customized

A setup guide appears if your playbook needs more configuration.

Playbook updates after plan creation

If you update your playbook after creating a plan, Rembrandt warns you:

  • After Step 1 — Consider retrying persona identification (roles may have changed)

  • After Step 3 — Consider regenerating copy (templates or preferences may have changed)

Evidence Anchoring

A key strength of Rembrandt's execution plans is evidence anchoring — every persona, message, and outreach action is grounded in the actual buying signals that created the opportunity. This ensures your outreach is relevant, specific, and timely.

How evidence flows through the plan

  1. Opportunity level — Rembrandt gathers evidence blocks (insights and data) from the opportunity's buying signals

  2. Evidence selection — You choose which evidence to use when generating copy. You can set this globally or override per channel.

  3. Persona identification — The AI explains why each persona was identified, linked to specific evidence

  4. Copy generation — Each message references the evidence it draws from, keeping outreach grounded in real signals

AI Copilot

An AI assistant is available throughout the planning process. Access it from the Copilot panel on any step.

What the Copilot can do:

  • Answer questions about the opportunity, evidence, and playbook

  • Suggest changes to personas (update names, titles, roles; approve or skip)

  • Approve or retry steps

  • Rewrite messages with specific instructions (e.g. "make this more concise" or "add a reference to their recent hiring")

  • Restore previous message versions

  • Adjust timeline actions

  • Set the campaign start date

  • Generate evidence summaries

  • Format output for CRM import

You can scope the Copilot to a specific message for focused refinement, or use it at the plan level for broader guidance.

Suggested prompts are provided for each step to help you get started. Examples:

Step

Example prompts

Buying Unit

"Why was this persona identified?", "Suggest alternative buying units"

Enrichment

"Which personas have weak contacts?", "How were emails derived?"

Copy Gen

"Remove forbidden words and check vocabulary", "Strengthen evidence anchoring"

Timeline

"Explain the sequence logic", "Should we add more touchpoints?"

Execute

"Generate company evidence summary", "Format for CRM"

Managing Plans

Creating a plan

Navigate to an opportunity with conviction score 4 or higher, open the Execution tab, and click Create Plan.

Starting a plan

After creation, click Start Plan to begin AI persona identification (Step 1).

Multiple plans

You can create multiple execution plans for the same opportunity. Plans are listed newest first.

Retrying steps

If a step's output isn't satisfactory, you can retry it. The AI regenerates the output for that step.

Reopening steps

Approved steps can be reopened to make changes, then re-approved.

Cancelling

Plans can be cancelled at any time. A plan that is actively generating cannot be deleted — cancel it first.

Deleting

Deleting a plan removes it and all its associated data (personas, messages, timeline, activity logs).

Real-Time Progress

When the AI is working (identifying personas, enriching contacts, generating copy, designing timelines), you see real-time progress:

  • Step indicators — Which part of the step is currently running

  • Progress updates — Results appear as they're generated

  • Live updates — No need to refresh the page
